William R. Anderson of Williamsport, age 88, died Monday morning, March 2, in Williamsport Community Hospital. He was born near Newtown, May 30, 1892, the son of John and Ida Mae Munson Anderson. April 24, 1915, he married Josephine Bernhart, who survives. A farmer all his life, he served for several years on the board of directors of Warren County Federal Savings and Loan.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Barbara J. Dare of Williamsport; four sons, Robert W. and Melvin Dean, both of Boswell, Milton L. of State Line and Duane E. of rural West Lebanon; a brother, Walter of Bedford; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Fisher Funeral Home in Williamsport with Rev. Douglas Dickey officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
